Job summary

Shields Point LLC is seeking Full-Time Armed Security Guards for the U.S. Department of Transportation contract at the U.S. DOT HQ in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities include monitoring entrances, enforcing regulations, and reporting incidents to maintain a secure environment for employees and visitors. Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, at least 21, with a Public Trust Tier 2 clearance and a HS diploma/GED.

Qualifications

• US citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident of United States
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Maintain an active Public Trust Tier 2 Security Clearance
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent education
• Meet one of: 2 years US Armed Services or 2 years Armed Security with Military experience or Associate degree or police officer basic academy or 3 years Armed Security Guard

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at assigned locations to ensure security of property, visitors, and personnel.
• Oversee access control, visitor processing, screening, patrols, and enforce regulations.
• Monitor entrances/exits and prevent unapproved or unlawful entry.
• Protect evidence or scenes of incidents during accidents or investigations.
• Prepare logs or reports as requested and communicate with management in crises.
• Follow post orders and company rules; no personal devices on post.
• Maintain the ability to work up to 12 hours per shift in various conditions.
• Provide professional customer service and resolve urgent issues under minimal supervision.
