Job summary

Allied Universal in Miami, FL is seeking a Security Officer Armed Personnel Screening to protect government and other sites. You will screen visitors, monitor access, verify credentials and respond to incidents with professionalism.

This full-time role pays $21.91 per hour with day and night shifts. Candidates need at least two years of security experience and a high school diploma; armed/security or law enforcement background is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years or more security-related experience.
• Armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience of at least one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service to visitors and the public while conducting screening procedures.
• Screen individuals and belongings using screening equipment and access-control procedures at a government location.
• Verify identifications, credentials, and authorization for entry; direct individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to alarms, prohibited-item findings, incidents, and critical situations professionally and document activities.
• Maintain awareness of screening-area conditions and deter unauthorized access.
