Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Armed Security Officer in Miami, FL. The role involves patrolling government locations, maintaining a visible presence, handling incidents, and ensuring safe, secure operations while delivering professional customer service.

The position requires armed security experience, appropriate licenses, and compliance with background checks and drug screening. Pay is $22.26 per hour with weekend evening shifts.

Qualifications

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of assigned buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry per site procedures.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain documentation for incidents and patrols.
