Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Professional to protect clients across government locations in Fairfax County. The role involves patrols, access control, incident response, and maintaining a welcoming, secure environment while upholding site policies and procedures.

This full-time position pays 21.74 per hour, with night shifts and overtime opportunities within the Fairfax County Government Contract.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• 2 years of armed-related security experience (security, law enforcement or U.S. military).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active VA DCJS Armed license (training provided if needed).
• Background check and drug screen as part of employment process.
• CPR/first aid training preferred; training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and following site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly while supporting government locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity and threats.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to maintain a secure environment.
• Document and report security incidents and policy violations as required by Allied Universal.
• Assist with emergency response activities following established protocols.
