Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Professional in Fairfax, VA, under the Fairfax County Government Contract. The role involves patrolling, monitoring entrances, and responding to incidents to deter threats and maintain a secure environment for staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Must have 2 years of Armed related experience.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Armed VA DCJS (Training provided).
• Handcuff, pepper spray, baton experience preferred (training provided).
• CPR and first aid certification preferred (training provided).
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies within the different government locations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the different government locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or potential threats.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to assist in maintaining a secure environment for staff and visitors.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations, or policy violations as required by Allied Universal and site management.
• Assist with emergency response activities in accordance with established protocols and instructions from site leadership.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and emergency personnel as needed.
