Qualifications

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and the public.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings and grounds.
• Monitor access and verify credentials as required.
• Respond to incidents and alarms following procedures.
• Prepare reports and logs of patrols and activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government correctional location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established response protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
