Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL. The role covers armed patrols, access control, and incident response at a utilities location, with Sat/Sun shifts 6:30 AM–2:30 PM and a pay rate of $18.25 per hour.

Required: armed security experience, armed guard card, valid license, and HS diploma. Background checks and drug screens apply.

Qualifications

• At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Able to use a computer or tablet.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and the public while following site procedures and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, substations, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and control entry of authorized personnel, vehicles, and vendors per site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with support when needed.
• Document observations, incidents, patrols, and access concerns through required reports.
