Allied Universal in Gardendale, AL is seeking a Security Officer Armed Concealed Carry Patrol (Part Time) to safeguard patients, visitors and staff in a healthcare setting. You will perform armed patrols, monitor access and respond to incidents with professionalism.

The role emphasizes customer service, adherence to policies, and teamwork. Must be 21+, possess concealed carry permit, and pass background checks; flexible scheduling is offered via our shift-claim platform.

Qualifications

• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent or higher.
• 21+ years of age for armed roles; background check and drug screen.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds; comfortable using a computer/tablet.
• Licensing requirements may apply; valid driver’s license for driving roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
• Maintain documentation, including incident reports and patrol activity, in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
