Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Miami, FL to monitor access points, conduct armed patrols, and maintain a visible presence to deter incidents. You will provide professional customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific policies and emergency procedures.

The role requires an armed guard card and a high school diploma or equivalent, with preference for badge experience and security licensing.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card/license required.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• State, county or city security license preferred.
• Be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check required under applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a technology infrastructure location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and assist with visitor and contractor entry procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate observations to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
