BTI Security is seeking qualified security personnel in Charleston, SC. The role involves patrolling exterior and community areas, controlling access for staff and visitors, monitoring CCTV, and reporting incidents.

Proficiency with magnetometer, X-ray machines, and radios is required. The position requires 21+ years of age, US citizenship or eligible permanent residency, and a valid high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• US citizen or permanent resident with honorable military discharge.
• SSN document issued by SSA with name and SSN.
• Verifiable documentation of experience and education per requirements.
• 2+ years armed security or 1 year law enforcement in full-duty status.
• 2+ years in US Armed Forces with honorable discharge.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Fluent English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong security industry knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Customer service mindset.
• Ability to present information to all levels of internal/external customers.
• Must be trainable with proficiency in firearms, OC spray, baton, First Aid/CPR/AED.

Responsibilities

• Patrol exterior and community areas on premises.
• Control access for entrances/exits and departures of staff/visitors.
• Monitor surveillance cameras for disturbances or unlawful activity.
• Provide detailed daily activity/incident reports.
• Use magnetometer and X-ray machines as required.
• Communicate clearly via provided radios.
• Respond to emergencies with strong listening and service skills.
• Perform CPR or first aid when needed.
• Maintain credentials per contract requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Project Manager.
