Top Guard Security, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking an Armed Security Officer PT Access Control to safeguard our client facilities, monitor entry points, verify credentials and issue visitor badges.

This role supports a government facility with a PT schedule and a $21.00/hour pay rate. Candidate must hold DCJS armed certification (or be willing to obtain baton certification), provide CPR/AED certification, and pass background checks and drug screening.

Part-time

As a Armed Security Officer PT Access Control in Richmond, VA , you will serve and safeguard our client, staff, visitors, and building. As an Access Control Officer supporting a government facility in Richmond, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access through verifying identity, documenting, and contacting employee they are there to see, providing them a visitors badge and retrieving the badge when they are leaving, and maintain a professional presence and attitude that helps deter security-related incidents. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and support site operations through teamwork and integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

PT

Day shift

Friday 7am - 4:30pm

Must be DCJS ARMED certified already, and either have baton certification or willing to get baton certified

Duties include:

Access control in a secured building.Patrolling the facility

Completing radio checks with the other officer and our client

Checking in all visitors

Communicating with various staff on visitors and/or issues occurring

Other duties as assigned by Account Manager and/or our client

This job requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time, stooping, bending, pulling, pushing, grasping, walking, running, carrying and climbing. Requires infrequent lifting or carrying of objects up to 50 lbs.

Must have or be able to get CPR/AED certified

Must have DCJS Armed License

Will have an extensive background check completed on them prior to starting work

Must be able to pass a drug test and are subject to random screenings per client's request

Must be willing to get baton certified

Must be at least 25 years of age Authorized to work in the United States High School Diploma or Equivalent Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check as a condition of employment Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time, up to a full 8-hour shift Must be able to endure cold and hot weather for extended periods of time, up to a full 8-hour shift Occasionally lift or pull up to 50lbs Speak audibly, clearly and understandable in order to have information understood or to contact authorities Weekends and holidays required Demonstrate professional demeanor at all times, maintaining company expectations for customer service Strong Communication Skills Customer Service Focus Situational decision making; notifications to appropriate personnel as needed Positive Attitude
