Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Vehicle Patrol Driver in Burgaw, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and armed credentials. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, people-first culture through teamwork and integrity.

Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

• Tue: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to facility staff, residents, visitors, and other stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, document visitor and contractor activity, and report suspicious behavior or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Have at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
