The officer will be responsible for protecting employees, visitors, and property while maintaining a professional and visible security presence.

The position requires a New York State Armed Security Guard License and training certificates, with starting pay of $27.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS Armed Security Guard License.
• Current 8-Hour In-Service Training Certificate.
• 16-Hour On-the-Job Training Certificate.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate incident reports.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas and monitor the premises for security and safety concerns.
• Monitor and control access to the facility.
• Inspect entrances, doors, windows, and other designated areas.
• Identify and respond to suspicious activity, disturbances, and unauthorized access.
• Enforce site policies and established security procedures.
• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies.
• Coordinate with police, fire, or EMS when necessary.
• Complete incident reports and document security-related activity.
• Communicate security concerns to supervisors and appropriate personnel.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct while on duty.

Preferred Experience:

One or more of the following is preferred:

• 2+ years of full-time law enforcement experience.
• 2+ years of military service with honorable discharge.
• 3+ years of professional security experience.
• Previous corporate security experience.
