Snoop Investigations & Security in the Hudson Valley is expanding its school security team and seeks professional, reliable officers to help keep students, staff and visitors safe. Officers will patrol campuses, monitor safety concerns, and serve as a visible and approachable presence for the school community.

As a School Security Officer you will carry out safety procedures, respond to incidents, complete reports, and maintain a courteous presence to deter disturbances and ensure a safe

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must hold a New York State Security Guard License.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
• Good physical condition to meet the demands of the role.

• Conduct routine and random patrols of school grounds, entrances, and perimeters.

• Respond quickly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, or critical situations.
• Complete incident reports and communicate safety concerns to supervisors or law enforcement when needed.

Position Overview

School Security Officers play a critical role in maintaining a safe and orderly school environment. Officers will patrol premises, monitor for safety concerns, and serve as a visible and approachable presence for students and staff.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safety and security procedures, including site-specific policies and emergency response protocols
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain professional relationships with students, staff, and visitors
• Conduct routine and random patrols of school grounds, entrances, and perimeters
• Monitor for suspicious activity, disturbances, or unauthorized access
• Respond quickly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, or critical situations
• Complete incident reports and communicate safety concerns to supervisors or law enforcement when needed

Minimum Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Must hold a valid New York State Security Guard License

Preferred Experience (one or more):

• 2+ years of full-time law enforcement experience
• 2+ years of military service (honorable discharge)
• 3+ years of school security officer experience
