Job summary

Allied Universal in Orlando, FL, seeks a Security Officer Armed Risk Management to protect government health and family services locations and other client sites. You will monitor areas, conduct patrols, control access, and respond to incidents while providing excellent service and clear communication.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years security experience, 1+ year armed/security or military, a valid law enforcement license, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Possess a law enforcement officer license.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at a government health and family services location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and provide directions or assistance to visitors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including the building perimeter, while observing and reporting unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and maintain required logs for incidents, patrols, visitor activity, and other security-related matters.
