Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Part-Time Armed Security Officer for retail locations. You will protect clients, maintain a visible security presence, and provide customer service while following site procedures.

• 16+ background screening and drug test as per policy.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to concerns. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license and armed certification. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while supporting Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to retail clients, visitors, and team members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and other security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, observations, and other security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, and/or military experience or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
