Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an Armed Security Officer for the Protective Services Department at Baptist South on a PRN, 12-hour shift basis. The officer will patrol and monitor hospital properties to ensure patient, visitor, and employee safety as patient experience remains a priority.

Requires a high school diploma, Florida licenses, and law enforcement experience. Responsibilities include reporting incidents, escorting individuals, enforcing parking rules, and responding to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of law enforcement experience required.
• High School Diploma required; Associate or Science degree preferred.
• Driver's License required.
• Licensed Security Officer – Class G and Class D required (within 90 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Report unusual circumstances and take corrective action.
• Protect individuals from harm by monitoring safety hazards.
• Provide escort services within the facility.
• Respond to unsafe situations promptly and appropriately.
• Enforce hospital parking regulations.
• Assist individuals with vehicle problems when needed.
