Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer to protect facilities and deter threats. The role emphasizes visible presence, incident reporting, and visitor control, with emphasis on safety of people and property.

Requirements include at least 3 years of armed security, law enforcement, military, or related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and valid licensing where required. Pay is $17.80 per hour, with full-time benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required or 5 years verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age (or higher if required by state).
• Excellent communication skills; able to write clear and concise incident reports.
• Able to complete all range qualifications and functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information
• Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure protection
• Preserve order and enforce site rules and directives
• Maintain proficiency with all protective equipment, restraints, and weapons
• Greet guests and escort visitors and contractors; secure ingress/egress and classified information
• Report safety concerns and breaches; coordinate with client and security personnel as needed
• Respond to alarms and act as first responder, providing first aid as necessary
