Job summary

Allied Universal® is hiring an Armed Security Officer to safeguard facilities and people. The role serves as a visible deterrent, detects and reports suspicious activity, enforces site rules, and responds to alarms while prioritizing safety and customer service.

The position requires high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of security or related experience, and ability to carry credentials. Wages are paid weekly in a full-time schedule with benefits including health insurance and a 401k plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Licensing requirements may be required per state/local laws.
• Minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old (or as state requires).
• Excellent communication skills; ability to write clear incident reports.
• Able to complete range qualifications and functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality security services, safeguarding people and property.
• Conduct patrols by foot, bicycle, or vehicle.
• Preserve order and enforce site rules and directives.
• Maintain proficiency with all protective equipment and weapons.
• Greet guests and escort visitors; secure entry/exit points and classified information.
• Report safety concerns and security breaches via written/verbal communication.
• Respond to alarms as first responder and provide first aid if needed.
