Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a government location in Bloomington, IL. You will patrol and secure facilities, deter incidents, and respond to security concerns while coordinating with staff and visitors in a professional manner.

The role requires 1+ year security experience, an armed guard license, and the ability to operate a computer or tablet. Scheduling includes daytime to late-evening shifts with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card/license required or preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet; required.
• State/county/city-issued security license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and government personnel following policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and per protocol.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for restricted areas.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and patrol documentation.
