Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed in Minneapolis, MN to protect clients across diverse industries. You will conduct routine armed patrols, monitor access points, and provide exceptional customer service while following post orders and safety protocols.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of law enforcement or related experience, an armed guard card, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Armed guard card or license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, perimeter areas, and critical infrastructure to help identify unusual activity and help deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following applicable armed post orders and escalation protocols.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance-related concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
