Job summary

Allied Universal in Saint Louis, MO seeks a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time to provide reliable security services at a designated site. This role offers flexible, fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through the scheduling platform.

The position requires at least one year of security experience, a valid driver's license, and the possibility of earning more with additional shifts. Pay is $20.55 per hour, with weekend overnight hours as scheduled.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical or petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, access points, parking areas, utilities, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, inspect vehicles and deliveries as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and follow all applicable laws, licensing requirements, and Allied Universal policies for armed posts.
