Allied Universal in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Armed Patrol to protect a government transportation facility. You will conduct armed patrols, maintain a visible presence, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service.

This role requires an armed guard card, a minimum age of 21, and a high school diploma. You will work day shifts and weekends, with a flexible schedule and access to our Shift-claim platform to take additional hours.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, roadways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, traffic-related events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, control entry and exit, and maintain awareness of authorized vehicles, personnel, and visitors.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and logs regarding patrols, incidents, observations, and other security-related activities in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
