Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer - Part Time Transit in Denver, CO. The role offers flexible hours and anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

As a Armed Security Officer - Part Time Transit in Denver, CO, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Tue 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, passengers, and staff by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel and/or public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, buildings, and perimeter locations, with attention to access points and suspicious activity that could help to deter unwanted behavior.
• Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and public spaces while following post orders, reporting protocols, and applicable government location requirements.
• Carry authorized duty equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws, and support crowd management, access control, and incident response during routine operations and/or special events.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security‑related experience, or a college degree.
• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Possess an armed guard card/license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
