Job summary

Allied Universal in Long Island City, NY is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Armed Patrol) to protect government facilities. You will monitor access, patrol assigned areas, and respond to incidents with a professional presence.

The role supports our Claim a Shift platform to build a flexible schedule and ensure safety across high-traffic locations. You must hold an armed guard license and related credentials, be 21+, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Possess a valid Armed Guard Card/License.
• Possess a valid Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Background check required by federal, state and local laws.
• Background histories considered per applicable laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public while following site procedures.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of facilities, exterior areas, perimeters and access points.
• Monitor restricted areas, verify credentials, and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and in line with post orders and regulations.
• Maintain reports and operate communications equipment per site procedures.
