Allied Universal is hiring an Armed Security Officer - Part Time Patrol for our Lynwood, CA site. The role offers flexible shifts with anchored weekly hours and opportunities to pick up additional shifts for higher earnings.

Salary is $24.00 per hour, with a part-time schedule including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts. This position emphasizes customer service, security procedures, and reliable on-site coverage at the assigned property.

Qualifications

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of commercial property common areas, building perimeters, parking areas, access points, and exterior grounds to identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
• Monitor access to the property, observe visitor and contractor activity, and report access-control issues, maintenance concerns, and suspicious conditions according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
