Allied Universal in Austin, TX is seeking an Armed Security Officer for a part-time patrol compliance role. The position offers a pay rate of $30.90 per hour and a schedule that includes Thursday 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM and Friday 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM at a commercial real estate site.

You will provide customer service to tenants and visitors, conduct armed patrols, monitor access, document incidents, and follow site policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Armed Guard Card or license is required.
• Background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law.
• Must be 21 years of age or older for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property management by carrying out security-related procedures at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, common spaces, entrances, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, reporting unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and patrol records per site requirements.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $30.90 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property management by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of building interiors, parking areas, common spaces, entrances, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol records in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Possess 5+ years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
