Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Armed Guard Card Required) in Buzzards Bay, MA. You will serve and safeguard clients, monitor access, conduct patrols, and respond to incidents while delivering excellent customer service.

The role requires a valid armed guard card, at least six months of armed security experience, CPR/First Aid is preferred, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. Pay rate is $23.00 per hour with a flexible daytime schedule.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• At least six months of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal procedures.
