Qualifications

• Valid armed guard card or license.
• Six months or more of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Criminal histories considered per applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Participation in industry-specific security training.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate hospital personnel and first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access-control procedures, and directions to support an orderly environment for patients and visitors.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and security-related activities in accordance with site procedures.
