Job summary

Qualifications

• Possess a CPO certification.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, security-related policies, and emergency response activities appropriate for a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following post orders and applicable protocols.
• Monitor access to restricted areas and assist with visitor, vendor, and vehicle traffic in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and promptly communicate concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
