Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Patrol Response in Windsor, CT. This role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, patrolling, and managing access control while maintaining required firearms qualifications. Minimum requirements include an Armed Guard Card or License, 21+ age, and a high school diploma, with background checks

Qualifications

• Armed Guard Card or License required.
• Age 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation as per federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and other stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and maintain visitor/vehicle/patrol/incident documentation.
• Maintain firearms qualifications and handle assigned equipment per Allied Universal policies and site procedures.
