Qualifications

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or license.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations calmly, coordinating with law enforcement and emergency personnel when required.
• Prepare accurate reports, maintain logs, and communicate observations to appropriate personnel.
