Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Armed Part Time Patrol Deterrence in Newport News, VA. You will protect client sites across manufacturing and industrial settings, providing customer service and a strong security presence.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while enforcing site policies and safety procedures at a manufacturing/industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies with calm, professional action.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, production areas, access points, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials, and document visitors and incidents per site policies.
• Maintain equipment readiness and complete required reports and logs in compliance with laws and Allied Universal procedures.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon - 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Tue - 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and escalation protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facility buildings, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter grounds to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitors, deliveries, incidents, and unusual activity in accordance with site policies.
• Maintain readiness of assigned equipment and complete required reports, logs, and communications while complying with applicable laws, regulations, and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
