Allied Universal in Midland, TX is seeking an Armed Security Officer Part Time Access Control to safeguard clients across tech/telecom sites. You will conduct armed patrols, deter incidents, monitor access, and document activity using our field technology while delivering courteous customer service.

Requirements include a Texas Level III armed certification, 21+ years old, high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Texas Level III armed certification.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as assigned, and report suspicious activity, policy violations, and maintenance concerns through required channels.
• Maintain required armed-post qualifications and handle assigned equipment in accordance with company policy, client procedures, and applicable regulations.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
