Job summary

Blue Line Security Solutions LLC in Chicago is seeking an Armed Security Officer with military or law enforcement background to join our team. This role welcomes active or retired officers and others with qualifying public-safety training who want to apply their background to private security.

Responsibilities include patrolling, monitoring surveillance, responding to incidents, maintaining logs, verifying access, and coordinating with local law enforcement.

Qualifications

• Active-duty or former military service (Military Police, combat arms, or other firearms training)
• Active sworn law enforcement officers
• Retired or former sworn officers with qualifying training and credentials
• Legally qualified to work as an armed security officer in Illinois
• Valid Illinois PERC Card
• Valid Illinois FOID Card
• Valid Illinois 230 Original Firearms Training credential or waiver recognized by IDFPR

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect unauthorized activity or security threats
• Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and access points; respond to suspicious activity or incidents
• Conduct inspections to confirm doors, windows, and access points are secure
• Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, medical incidents, or accidents
• Maintain accurate daily logs and incident reports
• Verify authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles at assigned properties
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and clients
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed
• Follow all company policy, post orders, and applicable state/federal regulations
• Participate in ongoing and site-specific training
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or management
