Job summary

Blue Line Security Solutions is seeking armed security officers with a military or law enforcement background to join our Chicago area team. Positions are available as full-time and part-time, with all shifts including days, afternoons, and overnights.

Ideal candidates will have strong situational awareness, sound judgment, and the ability to stay calm under pressure while delivering professional service to staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• Legally qualified to work as an armed security officer in Illinois.
• Valid Illinois PERC Card, unless exempt.
• Valid Illinois FOID Card.
• Valid firearms training credential or exemption recognized by IDFPR.
• No disciplinary actions regarding firearm use or force.
• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in criminal justice or public safety preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect security threats.
• Monitor surveillance, alarms, and access points; respond to incidents.
• Inspect doors, windows, and access points for secure status.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, or medical incidents.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and incident reports.
• Verify authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles at properties.
• Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and clients.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Follow all company post orders and applicable regulations.
• Participate in ongoing and site-specific training.
