Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner and coordinate with law enforcement or site management as needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas and access points to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and document observations and incidents per site procedures.
• Maintain a visible professional presence and effective communication with the public and site personnel.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, contacting law enforcement, emergency services, and/or site management as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail common areas, storefronts, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, hazards, and/or access-control concerns, and document observations and incidents in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain professional communication with the public and site personnel while providing a visible presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
