Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer Jones Rd in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to customer and site needs. This driving post requires a valid driver's license and Texas Level III Armed Certification. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

Minimum Requirements

• 21+ Years of Age
• Active Armed Guard Card/License
• Valid Driver's License
• 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security Experience
• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and applicable laws.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for potential security-related concerns, reporting observations to site leadership and/or law enforcement as appropriate.
• Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.
