Job summary

Allied Universal, Raleigh-based security provider, seeks an Armed Patrol Officer to safeguard government facilities and others in daytime and weekend shifts. You will patrol assigned areas, deter unauthorized activity, and deliver professional customer service while adhering to policy and training requirements.

The role requires an armed guard card or license (preferred), age 21+, a high school diploma, and background checks. A valid driver’s license is needed for driving posts where applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience providing client-facing security services.
• Familiarity with site-specific security procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and residents while following site procedures and emergency plans.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeters to deter issues.
• Monitor access and verify credentials; report unusual conditions and incidents per site rules.
• Respond calmly to incidents and document actions taken.
• Carry and maintain authorized equipment, including a firearm, per laws and policy.
