Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Valid North Carolina Driver's License.
• Current NC PPSB Armed Security Guard Registration and Firearm Permit.
• Ability to obtain and maintain HSPD-12 credentialing.
• Clean criminal background suitable for State facility access.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control facility access points.
• Screen visitors using magnetometers and security screening equipment.
• Conduct interior and exterior security patrols.
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems.
• Enforce facility security procedures and complete incident reports.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
• Escort visitors, vendors, and contractors as required.

Position Summary

OX Security is seeking experienced and professional Armed Security Officers to provide security services in Raleigh, NC. Officers will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and state property while providing exceptional customer service and emergency response support.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum age of 21 years
• Valid North Carolina Driver's License
• Current North Carolina PPSB Armed Security Guard Registration and Firearm Permit
• Ability to obtain and maintain HSPD-12 federal credentialing
• Clean criminal background suitable for State facility access
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance

In addition, applicants must possess one of the following:

• Five (5) years of law enforcement experience; or
• Five (5) years of military service; or
• Five (5) years of security experience in a comparable professional environment.
• Monitor and control facility access points
• Screen visitors using magnetometers and security screening equipment
• Conduct interior and exterior security patrols
• Monitor CCTV and alarm systems
• Enforce facility security procedures
• Complete reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation
• Respond to emergency and non-emergency situations
• Assist employees and visitors during emergencies
• Escort visitors, vendors, and contractors as required
• Support fire drills, evacuations, and emergency response activities
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary

Additional Requirements

• Officers must wear and operate body cameras during their entire shift.
• Officers must be able to work in a professional government office environment.
• Officers are designated as essential personnel and may be required to report during inclement weather or emergencies.
• Officers must maintain all required licenses, certifications, and qualifications throughout employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior federal, state, or government facility security experience
• Military police, corrections, or law enforcement background
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications
• Experience operating access control, CCTV, and alarm monitoring systems
