Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time armed role in Austin, TX. You will monitor access, patrol premises, respond to incidents, and maintain a welcoming client environment while delivering excellent customer service.

The position requires 3+ years in armed security or a related law enforcement field, a Texas Level III Armed Certification, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Training, benefits, and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include 3 years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, or Armed Security, or a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.
• Type at least 40 words per minute.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check will be conducted per laws.
• Armed positions may require licensing per state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and escalate concerns per site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the technology and media location, including access points and perimeter.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document relevant security activities.
• Report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Full Time Level III Armed Security in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor access, conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related incidents, and help to deter unwanted activity. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the technology and media location, including business areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and document relevant security-related activities.
• Report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of experience as a Military Police Officer, Corrections Officer, or Armed Security Professional, or be a Certified Law Enforcement Graduate.

• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
