DK Security, Inc. in Greater Lansing, MI is seeking an Armed Security Officer to protect visitors, grounds and staff on various sites in the Greater Lansing Area. This part-time role offers 16-36 hours per week with flexible Mon-Sun shifts.

Applicants must hold a Michigan CPL and LEOSA, be at least 21, have armed security experience, and pass a background check and drug test. Pay is $19.89–$20.09 per hour, with benefits including medical, life, dental, vision, and paid sick days.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have valid Michigan CPL.
• Must have armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Clean criminal background with no felonies or sexual offense history.
• Able to pass a drug test at hire and periodically thereafter.
• Good communication and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: assist clients, visitors, and coworkers professionally.
• Observe and Report: stay alert for suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: patrol lobbies, reception areas, and control centers.
• Access Control: verify IDs and prevent unauthorized entry.
• Safety Patrol: maintain a safe environment and enforce site policies.
• Emergency Response: assist in emergencies and coordinate with responders.
• Security Liaison: communicate with client staff and site supervisor.
