Allied Universal is seeking a Srmed Security Officer - Flex - Access Control in Phoenix, AZ. This part-time role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts via the scheduling platform, designed to provide reliable hours and income flexibility.

Pay is $23.00 per hour, with a morning-day Friday 8 AM to 6 PM primary shift. Responsibilities include access control at a government location, armed patrols, monitoring entrances, responding to incidents, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Armed guard card or license required.
• X-Ray screening experience preferred.
• Handcuffing certification preferred.
• Pepper spray certification preferred.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors and the public at a government location, following site procedures.
• Perform armed patrols of buildings, grounds, and parking areas with regular rounds.

• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, documenting actions taken.

As a Srmed Security Officer - Flex - Access Controlin Phoenix, AZ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri08:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Perform armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, conducting regular and random rounds to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas; verify identification and authorization in accordance with established government facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports while maintaining professional conduct and following applicable policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
