Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer for patrol and response duties at a financial institution in Tacoma, WA. This full-time position involves monitoring, de-escalation, and secure access control while delivering excellent customer service to clients.

Qualified applicants will have a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit, at least 1 year of security experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, maintaining awareness of visitors, employees, and contractors.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in a timely and accurate manner.
