Job summary

Hana Industries, Inc. is recruiting an Armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) to join our team at IRS Headquarters in Washington, DC. The role focuses on controlling access, responding to incidents, and maintaining a secure environment for government facilities.

Candidates must meet rigorous background checks, possess U.S. citizenship or eligible status, and have a minimum of two years armed security or one year law enforcement experience.

Qualifications

• Must meet state, county and municipal licensing requirements.
• Minimum two years of armed security or one year of law enforcement experience in full-duty status, or two years of honorable US Armed Forces service.
• Citizenship requirement and ability to pass background checks.
• Must be able to communicate in English and write routine reports.
• Willingness to work evenings, overnights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Controls facility access and precludes unauthorized entry while maintaining safe operations.
• Responds to emergencies with appropriate escalation of force and required training/licensing.
• Provides courteous, professional service and presents a positive image of the client security department.
• Monitors entrances/exits, vehicle movement, and CCTV to manage site access.
• Patrols the site, documents incidents, and reports to client representatives or authorities.
• Prepares logs and reports, ensuring accurate documentation of security activities.
