Job summary

GardaWorld Federal Services is seeking an Armed Security Guard to provide high-level security at a USCIS facility. The role is on-site, typically in a two-person team, focusing on access control, visitor screening, and incident response.

You will operate screening devices, monitor cameras, document events, and uphold federal contract and ASC procedures while maintaining professional conduct and clear communication with the Regional Security Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Minimum of two (2) years of armed security experience from military, law enforcement, or commercial armed guard background.
• Must legally own and possess a registered approved 9mm semiautomatic pistol or .45 ACP handgun.
• Active State Security Guard License for the state of the post.
• Active State Firearms License (or equivalent) for the post state.
• Current firearm qualifications, first-aid/CPR certifications, and annual use-of-force/de-escalation training.
• Experience in operating walk-through metal detectors and hand-held detection wands.

Responsibilities

• Perform continuous access control duties, including screening visitors and personnel using walk-through magnetometers and hand-held detection wands.
• Conduct regular facility checks, monitor surveillance systems, and ensure security and integrity of the USCIS site.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms according to post orders.
• Accurately document all activities, incidents, and security breaches in reports.
• Provide professional service while enforcing security protocols for all agency personnel and visitors.
• Maintain proficiency in setup, calibration, and operation of security equipment and screening devices.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and post orders; communicate with the Regional Security Manager.
• Work effectively with the partner guard and coordinate with the Regional Security Manager.
