Job summary

Allied Universal in Jackson, MS is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Armed Entry Management to safeguard government offices and other sites. You will manage access control, verify credentials, monitor areas, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors.

This role requires at least 1 year of security experience, an armed guard card or license, and a valid firearms permit preferred. Pay rate is $14.18 per hour with full-time schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license.
• Firearms permit preferred.
• Ability to lift 20+ pounds preferred.
• Access-control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel while carrying out access-control procedures.
• Monitor entry points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor sign-in processes, and maintain access records.
• Respond to incidents and document events in accordance with site procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to identify concerns.
• Communicate clearly to maintain a professional environment and follow security procedures.
