Position is full-time with a schedule of standard business hours Monday through Friday. The role requires an armed guard card or license, 21+ years old, and a background check.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Armed guard card or license is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation is required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel while performing access-control procedures at a government office location.
• Monitor entry points, verify IDs, manage visitor sign-in, and maintain access-related records.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and document events as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, entrances, parking lots, and perimeter.
• Communicate clearly with the public and follow security procedures to maintain a safe environment.

Pay Rate: $14.18 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Tue: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Wed: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Thur: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
• Fri: 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and authorized personnel while carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government office location.
• Monitor entry points, verify identification and authorization, manage visitor sign-in processes, and maintain accurate access-related records in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document events as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity or facility concerns.
• Support a professional, orderly environment by communicating clearly with the public and following established security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A valid firearms permit is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
