Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking an Armed Security Officer to provide armed protective services for a high-profile client in the Escanaba area. Responsibilities include patrols, access control, CCTV monitoring and incident reporting to ensure safety of personnel and property.

The role requires licensure, two years armed security or equivalent military/law enforcement experience, and strong communication skills in English. Competitive pay at $28.24/hour plus health benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years armed security experience or related military/law enforcement service.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to operate radio/telephone equipment.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification, firearms qualifications, and related training.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the facility is provided with high-quality security services to protect people and property.
• Build, improve and maintain effective relationships with client employees and guests.
• Report safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances verbally and in writing.
• Handle security issues and emergency situations according to protocol.
• Follow all directives relating to site-specific operations including manuals and post orders.
• Greet and welcome visitors and employees; answer questions and assist as needed.
• Patrol the facility on foot or in a vehicle.
• Answer phones, monitor closed-circuit television systems and alarms.
