Qualifications

• Valid Texas Level III Armed Certification.
• Valid driver’s license where required by policy.
• Age 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law and policy.
• Participation in industry-specific security training programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, vendors, and visitors per site policies and emergency procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of store, parking areas, and perimeter.
• Monitor access points, deliveries, and vendor activity; report suspicious activity.
• Complete accurate logs, incident reports, and required documentation.

As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will drive assigned routes, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to customers, employees, vendors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the store, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, deliveries, and vendor activity while maintaining awareness of store operations and reporting suspicious activity or policy violations.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security-related experience.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
